Georgie Brooks

Georgie Brooks is a Naarm based contemporary jeweller. Her jewellery explores imagined histories referencing a cross-section of ancient cultures. Woven into the narrative of each piece is the suggestion that it could have been excavated from a buried Bronze Age or Viking era horde.

Georgie selects custom designed gemstones that are hand fossicked and cut in Australia. A unique combination of shape and colour in each gemstone adds to the layering of the design story. The outcome is a mysterious melding of textural surfaces, surprising shapes, colours and forms with an edge of the unexpected.
